How many times have you hoped as an administrator that putting an article in teachers’ boxes equates with having it read? How many times have you as a teacher looked in your box at the mound of papers, noticed that interesting- looking article, sighed, “Sure, if I had the time” and put it at the bottom of the pile?
It’s always a good idea to have teachers work together and often that lens is through shared interests. Reading professional books together, studying common-interest questions, working together on computer research or creating curricula, we can help facilitate the process that gets groups “off the ground” and moving forward with all voices heard.
We can offer content suggestions, facilitate or coach new groups in using protocols and structures that make these sessions ones of enduring value and high engagement.
